This year we will be having our second ever in person awards at No Square Theatre in Laguna Beach.  Thank you to our sponsor, No Square Theatre, for graciously allowing us to put on this year’s awards show on October 1, 2025, from 7 pm to 9 pm.   Pop-Cellist Alex T. Sánchez will be performing before and during the awards show. I’ve personally listened to Alex perform live, and you are in for a treat.

This year’s theme is Masquerade Ball.  Attendees can dress in masquerade fashion. There will be a costume contest this year with a prize, so while costumes are not required, it is a part of the fun! As usual, the event will present awards in multiple categories to theaters large and small in the Los Angeles and Orange County Theater scenes. Please take advantage of this opportunity to connect, network, collaborate, and grow our wonderful creative theater communities. 

 10% of the funds raised through tickets will go back directly to No Square Theatre. Don’t be shy: tweet, Instagram, and/or film the event. We want to raise awareness for small theaters all over Los Angeles and Orange County. Let’s shine a spotlight on No Square Theatre and the important work small and community theaters do in our communities.  

Orange Carpet interviews and photo coverage will start an hour before the event.

The event will be live-streamed on the LA Theatre Bites Instagram and Latheatrebites1. A few days later, the whole event will be recorded on the LA Theatre Bites and Orange Curtain Review websites.

It’s truly an honor to put this show on again. We had a blast last year. thank you again, Newport Theatre Arts Center, for your support!  We saw some exceptional shows and performances this year, and we are excited to highlight their work.  even more critical, we hope the awards can inspire the theater community to grow closer, try new things and aim — not for perfection because that’s the death of creativity — but to express ourselves more honestly, on stage and in life.
