Cabaret, the Tony & Academy Award winning musical, hits the big screen for one night only at the Frida Cinema in Santa Ana on August 28th at 7:30 p.m.
Synopsis:
“First shown in 1972 the film stars Liza Minnelli as Sally Bowles an American stage performer living a carefree Bohemian lifestyle in 1930s Berlin. Sally enters into affairs with both Brian, her timid flatmate, and Max, a rich playboy, as the Nazi Party rises in power around them and threatens to destroy their way of life, as well as the decadent Kit Kat Club where she performs. Joel Grey rounds out director Bob Fosse’s impressive cast in his iconic and award-winning performance as the leering, devilish Emcee.” taken directly from http://thefridacinema.org/
