Orange County Theatre Reviews

Join EARBUD THEATER and On The Edge Theatre Productions at the Laguna Hills Community Center for a special Halloween event!

Since 2012, Earbud Theater ( has been creating strange sonic tales of monsters, aliens, and the terror that might be under your own roof for podcast listeners around the world, winning multiple awards along the way for helping to revive the tradition of the radio play an iTunes century.

For the first time ever, they are bringing their fantastical audio storytelling to a live stage, with a double bill of stories honouring Halloween-Earbud Theater’s official favourite holiday- and performed by gifted veteran voice actors with live sound effects to create a gripping, one-of-a-kind experience for the imagination.

First up will be The Sounds Below, from frequent Earbud writer/performer Nicholas Thurkettle- a chilling tale about a man in a strange little shop down a lost night street who attempts to make a bargain with his fears, with soul-shattering results. And the second show will be a world premiere script written by one of Earbud’s twisted brain trust, debuting exclusively in Laguna Hills, where is will be recorded for later release, with the audience members’ reactions becoming part of the show! The show is rated PG-13.

So dim the lights, turn up the volume. Let Earbud tell you a story. And if you find yourself wandering, or worrying, or just staring at our strange world from a newly un-scaled eyes, just remember-it’s all in your head…
