Written by Patrick Chavis

Taken from the press release:

“The Electric Company Theatre is now the resident theatre company of the historic Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton. The Electric Company will produce full-length plays, immersive experiences, and an intimate storytelling and concert series on the grounds and in the beautiful 1920s mansion.”

Brian (Brian Johnson C0-Artistic Director) adds: “Our passion is creating beautiful stories in unusual places. We can’t wait to share stories in unexpected locations within The Muck campus as well as bigger pieces in the amphitheatre.” The Muck is famous for its live music events, visual art installations, and community partnerships. “We are thrilled to add live theatre into that mix,” says Brian.

“The inaugural season will open with a preview event called “Light Up the Night” on August 24 with a toast, a guided tour of the Muck, and select performances from the upcoming season. The first full production, The Old Man and the Old Moon, a musical seafaring tale written by PigPen Theatre Company, will premiere on the south lawn of the mansion September 14, 15, 21, 22.”
